What a Gas Safety Check covers
Our engineers inspect each gas appliance and associated pipework for safe operation and combustion. The inspection includes a visual check of appliance condition, flue and terminal integrity, ventilation and spillage checks, flue flow/CO testing where applicable, gas pressure and tightness tests, and functional checks of boilers, fires, hobs and cookers. Any unsafe appliance is isolated and labelled, and a clear written report is provided.
Compliance, landlords and peace of mind
Flame Heated Gas issues the required Gas Safety Record (commonly known as a CP12) for rental properties and keeps detailed records for homeowners. As IDEAL-accredited engineers we provide manufacturer-backed advice and can carry out repairs or suggest an upgrade if a system is beyond economical repair. To book a check across Glasgow, Paisley, Edinburgh, Stirling, Falkirk or Fife call 07725 799041 or email info@fhgas.co.uk.
— FAQ
A typical check takes 30–60 minutes for a single boiler and a small number of appliances. Properties with multiple appliances or complex flue systems may take longer; the engineer will confirm estimated time at arrival.
