“What an absolutely honest and amenable engineer. Ali carried out extensive tests on our gas supply, which I witnessed , and confirmed there was no gas leak (another company Wm Donnelly had capped my gas off and stated it was a major danger). I would highly recommend using FHGas for any future issues. All in all a first class job done and also very punctual as he gave updates as to his arrival time. Excellent Excellent Excellent!!!!!”
Checkatrade2025-09-06“I cannot praise Ali enough. It was one of the best contracting work experiences for what could have been a nightmare start to a recent home purchase. We were without hot water and low water pressure in a 1950s home with old pipework and giant, gross water tank.
Ali came the next day after inspecting the issues and suggested an upgrade to a combi-boiler at a fraction of the cost of what Scottish Gas quoted. He stayed late in the evening and returned the next day to finish- even replaced a kitchen tap for me on this job. We are so pleased and will call him for any other future works!!!”

“I recently had an excellent experience with a boiler repair service that I found through Checkatrade. I submitted a request on Friday morning, and to my surprise, they came out the same afternoon to diagnose the issue. The technician quickly identified the exact problem and ordered the necessary parts.
What impressed me the most was their efficiency. They returned on Monday afternoon with the parts in hand and completed the repair in under an hour. On top of that, they performed a thorough service on the boiler, ensuring everything was in top working condition.

“We needed a new thermostat fitted for our house that we’re selling. The previous owner done some cowboy wiring. FH came in and sorted it, and really went over and above. Worked quickly and efficiently, and made a good experience out of a stressful situation. Can’t recommend highly enough.”

Ali called and looked at the system and followed the electrics from the boiler and it turned out that one of my grandsons who had been visiting earlier in the day had turned off the main switch. I was very surprised that I was charged an £80 diagnostic fee for flicking a switch. It isn't that I didn't want to pay but I thought that an agreement could have been reached as to cost. I was then told that if I wanted my boiler serviced I should contact him again and he would charge me a further £80.”

Tried making extra cash by drilling ANOTHER hole through brick wall, I took opinion of another gas engineer who advised this was unnecessary. Furious with this, Ali left the job in the middle, shouted at me, and asked me to transfer money immediately else would take away the boiler from the property. That wasn't the end of ordeal. More than 6 months now and I am still awaiting for the invoice for the boiler payment despite multiple reminders. I am sure many jobs are left incomplete in any trade but a bit of decency is expected.”

However, he then quoted £220 for the repair, never returned to complete the job, and I eventually had to get someone else to fix it for £65. I was still charged £99 for the diagnosis.
Maybe it’s just me, but it felt like the business model was mainly about securing that £99 diagnostic fee. If you do decide to use this service, make sure you fully understand what you’re agreeing to before paying anything.”

“Ali arrived promptly after phoning .He explained in detail problems with my old boiled.I decided better to have it replaced.Ali did that the very same day.Worked late into the evening to complete installation.Very happy with him and can highly recommend.”

Ali came round looked at the job and charged £180 call out. No work carried out not even a text to say when work can start. He told me he would be in touch today regarding a joiner to cut a hatch. We have now been told by 2 other plumbers we have been ripped off . We have 2 small children here with no heating or water until another plumber comes to fix it tomorrow! A call out fee with no work should never be £180 absolute Con Man.”

“Woke up to find our boiler had 0 water pressure and no hot water. I contacted FH Gas through the site and was promptly called back by Ali on his mobile. He arrived within an hour and attempted to re-pressurize the boiler only to find a leak in a pipe coming from the radiator in the bathroom. He took radiator off the wall, secured the radiator bracket, and replaced a 1cm section of pipe at the top before re-fitting the radiator. He re-pressurized the boiler to 1 bar and everything working fine. He assured me if any subsequent issues to contact him and he would be out again.”

He arrived within an hour and restored it to full function for a very reasonable cost of £85. He was a most pleasant young man, tidy and efficient and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. I told him I'm not happy and demanded to screw boiler with nails to wall so it's secure,
I hired him again foolishly for different flat for boiler not giving out hot water a week later He came out and quoted me 400 pounds for the job, Then cancelled on me after a week.”
